Come along and join the wonderful Elizabeth Harris, bespoke wedding cake designer and creator of her very own range of bake-ware and cake decorating products, on her Baking Basics and Cake Decorating class here at the Academy. An excellent choice for beginners, or bakers looking to refine the skills.

During the class you will learn how to properly prepare, mix and bake your very own sponge cake with a Kitchen Aid Artisan Mixer, acquiring the knowledge to achieve a perfect sponge every time. After that you will create yummy buttercream to layer, coat and cover your cake with. You’ll then finish your creation with a beautiful delicate handmade wafer flower cake topper.

 

 

WHAT WE PROVIDE:

All equipment, materials*, a cake box and an apron to wear!
Lunch, refreshments and afternoon tea.
Helpful academy staff, should you require assistance.
*All our cakes are made with a standard sponge recipe which contains wheat flour, eggs, sugar, butter and may contain nuts. Our Rice Krispie bases may contain barley, pork gelatine and sugar. Our Marzipan products contain nuts.
