Join multi award-winning cake artist Jacqui Kelly who specialises in bespoke edible art, on her fun character modelling sugarcraft class, this May here at the Academy.
Starting your day with a little DIY you will learn how to create an internal structure for your stacked model design, before being guided through the process of using Renshaw Sugarpaste, Marzipan and the Modelling Paste range to model a dog, a cat and a mouse, giving them texture and added strength. Skills you can apply to a range of modelled characters! In addition, you’ll learn how to correctly achieve accurate proportions for your sugar models, as well as how to create fun facial features and expressions to bring your characters to life, giving them their own personality.
Finally, you will end your day using a range of Rainbow Dust products to paint and dust on the finishing touches to your model.
