Marion Frost from Patchwork Cutters is back again at the Renshaw Academy to teach you how to create this beautiful hot air balloon creation complete with 3D models. You’ll begin the class by learning how to expertly cover a cake dummy with Marion providing clear explanations throughout as well as demonstrating how to produce that professional finish we all aspire for. You’ll then learn the tricky technique of covering a dummy ball shape with Renshaw ready to roll icing and then create four fantastically cute models to bring your hot air balloon creation together. Marion will also give you various hints and tips to allow you to adapt your newly learned skills so you can create cakes for a variety of different seasons and occasions.
Throughout the day Marion will impart invaluable hints and tips accumulated across many years of experience in the sugarcraft industry. Our Academy staff will also be on hand to provide guidance and assistance should you require it. At the end of the session, we will provide you with a cake box so that you can take your cake creation home with you. Please note, some creations that are made using real cake bases will be heavier than those created using a polystyrene dummy so please take this into consideration when making your travel arrangements.
